2005. This little indy gem was a real find. Very creative and marvelous in every way. It's slow and reminded me a bit of two of my favorite movies of all time (Pi and Being There). But, that pace really creates a texture and ambiance that not many bazillion dollar productions have.
Basically a retelling of Pinocchio set in a strangely deserted apocalyptic urban world, a man created a humanoid robotic clone of himself. A love triangle unsues between him, the robot and the woman that runs the corner grocery.
Some mild violence.
Two robotic thumbs up!
