TV | The Wire | Didn't Like It
Sadly. I'll bet this is a good show if I could have gotten past the first couple of episodes. But I didn't because it was a snoozefest. It also seemed oddly dated and the dialogue was terrible.

Movie | 47 Ronin | Didn't Like It
I thought I'd give this another shot. Nope, didn't like it - again. This movie only works if you're a teenage boy. Maybe. Skip this and see any one of the half dozen films by the same name with similar plots. Every one of them is better than this.
Movie | Predicament | Didn't Like It
Despite the presence of Jemaine Clement (who just can't save it) and the gorgeous cinematography, the script was horrible.
Movie | The Man From Nowhere | Liked It
I accidentally ordered this from Netflix again. I remember enjoying it, so I watched it again. I think I liked it even more this time around, though I hadn't remembered how melodramatic it was at times. Really over the top. But this is like a good Luc Besson action flick - which you can never really go wrong with, of course.

TV | Southern Culture... | Liked It
Southern Culture on the Skids at Sellersville. Live concert footage at the Sellersville Theater intermixed with an interview with Rick Miller. Great stuff featuring one of the most fun bands out there right now.
TV | Key & Peele | Really Liked It
Sketch comedy that has more hits than misses. I'd caught a few episodes and highlights in the past, but I went back and watched from the beginning. They're brilliant, even more so with the (now hindsight) knowledge that the two of them are actually fantastic actors, too.

TV | The Slap | Didn't Like It
Has every appearance of being a good miniseries but was, in fact, dreadful. Admittedly (or is that thankfully), I never made it past the pilot.

TV | Unnatural Acts | Didn't Like It
Despite a few funny lines and the presence of (a thin!) Fulcher, Fielding, Barratt and Hynes, as well as the inkling of the Zooniverse and other classic Boosh elements, it wasn't that funny overall.
TV | Better Call Saul | Really Liked It
I was the first person that I know of to think this show was a bad idea and just a money grab. I'm happy to report that I was completely wrong. It's brilliant in every way. The rumor that this would be a sit-com was completely inaccurate; it's very serious with that trademark Breaking Bad dark humor running through it.

TV | Asylum | Liked It-ish
It was fun to see Simon Pegg, Julian Barratt, Jessica Hynes and Bill Bailey together so early in their careers. But this wasn't a great show by any means.

Movie | Two Little Boys | Didn't Like It
Whatever happened to Bret from Flight of the Conchords? Actually, he's been very busy. Here's a movie he was in. Unfortunately, it wasn't very good. Sort of a much less funny Dumb and Dumber meets Weekend at Bernie's. The movie was actually quite well done, all around. It was just a bad script.

Movie | Emperor of the North | Really Liked It
Fantastic cast and there's a portion of the movie about 45 minutes in that was extremely fun to watch. Thanks for the recommendation, Sdub!

Movie | Love Birds | Really Liked It
Delightful romantic comedy, plus Rhys Darby is always awesome. It was nice to see him get a role where he gets to be a bit more relaxed and play the hero. Playing Queen songs just made it even better!
Movie | The Returned | Liked It
How can they release a movie that's so close in premise to a television show(...s - there are two) with the same name? But they did and like those shows, this is a zombie flick that's more drama than horror. I liked it and I'm now a big fan of Emily Hampshire. She's a good actor and I like the movies and tv shows she's been in so far.
